A translator                                            and critic, his most recent publications are commentary editions of H. P. Lovecraft and R.M. Rilke. He has received fellowships from international residencies such as MacDowell Colony, Vermont Studio Center and Villa Waldberta (Munich, Germany). He holds a PhD in literary theory and works as a professor and translator, focusing on German and English literature.

 

NICK RATTNER is a 2023 National Endowment for the Arts Translation Fellow. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of Gulf Coast: A Journal of Literature and Fine Arts and as Collective Member at Ugly Duckling Presse. He lives in Troy, New York, city of crows.
